Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

TechniqueLaparoscopic
Duration42 min
OutcomeSuccessful — discharged next day

Elective four-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy performed for symptomatic cholelithiasis confirmed by ultrasound. The critical view of safety was achieved prior to clipping the cystic duct and artery.

Intraoperative findings revealed a mildly inflamed gallbladder with multiple small stones. No bile duct injuries occurred. Estimated blood loss was minimal.

The patient tolerated the procedure well and was discharged the following morning on a standard post-operative regimen. Follow-up at two weeks showed complete recovery.
